Getting people into tech
I mentor aspiring CSMs through Tangent, to help people get jobs in tech from underrepresented backgrounds, who don't yet have the network to get a foot in.
Why I do it
CS is a great way in
Customer success doesn't need a degree or a coding background. It needs curiosity, empathy and problem-solving, and plenty of people already have those. They just don't know the job exists, or how to get past the first screen. I'd like to help with that. If you don't have a network in tech, you're up against it with just a CV.

But what if you don't have those connections?
Where you grew up shouldn't decide who you know. That's the gap mentors fill.
What I help with
- 01
Intro calls
A first chat about where they are, where they want to be, and what a CSM or BDR actually does all day.
- 02
CV reviews
What to cut, what to keep, and how to make experience from outside tech read as the real thing it is.
- 03
Interview prep
Practice runs for the questions CS hiring managers ask, from the side of the table that asks them.
Work in tech? Pay it forward.
Applying to mentor takes a couple of minutes. And if you're the one looking for a way in, Tangent is free for jobseekers.
